I have a 2000 Grand prix 3.8 gt. It only has 62k. It surges up hills. or when accelerating lightly. I dont want to throw parts at it. It has no codes. Has anyone else had this problem? I did a search without much luck. Thanks

I would start with the fuel pressure regulator. There is a method to test them on the car, but I am vague on the procedure. Not greatly difficult, though.
Some other members may have the know how on testing. |

Is their no codes lit or just no check engine light, I had to take my car to a place that can read the memory as their were no check engline light on to test with one of those testers that advance ( work part time their) or autozone has. It pointed to the mass air flow sensor and the car had a similar problem but the Mrs called it a jump. It has resolved the issue by replacing the sensor.
