I am currently running a 462 with headers, 3" intermediate pipes going into Hooker aerochamber mufflers and then 2.5" tails. Car is very loud and has a considerable amount of resonance. I have heard many good things about the car chemistry inserts and would like to try these. My question is, where is the best place to put them? Reading their site, it seems it is ok to place these in the tail pipes if they are used to quiet down an existing muffler. I am wondering how effective this will be. The other, more obvious option, is placing them in the header collector. I am looking to quite this thing down as much as I can as it is mostly street driven. Thanks!

Don't know if this is any helpbut...I have the CC muffler type that I have bolted right tothe collectors. They are very loud just a bit quieter than open headers. They really let the sound of the cam come thru.Mine is also street driven,I love the sound.
