Default Finished! 73 Brewster T/A

Hey Guys, after two years of work I have finally finished my 73 that I was restoring with my dad. Tried to do as correct of a job as possible, wanted to see what you guys think. The sad thing is I may have to sell it as this cost a lot more then I excepted and me and my finance just bought a new house. I would love to keep it but I already have my 70T/A and I can't sell that as it was my first car. Anyways let me know what you think!

Nice job on the '73 T/A- very clean. The brewster green always stands out to me- makes me remember the Duke in "McQ" and him haulin' ass in the T/A in 70's Seattle.

tdavidl, your right I better change that! will feel good to have this one done, biggest project I have ever worked on, but a lot of fun and I am really happy with the result. 73 Brewster is my favorite T/A and I always wanted one, when I had seen this one even though it needed a lot of help I had to have it!

Thanks for the compliments!, it's rewarding to have it done. I only got to drive it about 50 miles, since then it has been snowing here. Restoration started in May 2007 and we finished in November 08'. Me and my dad do it as a hobby and with all the work, we figure we have at least 3000 hours in it.

I owe a lot to PY and its members, this place is the best resource I could ever imagine. I don't post too often but when I do I always get the help I need. Now that I have this done hopefully I can return the favor to everybody else!

great job, the underbody detail is very impressive! Also the time frame you did it in is pretty amazing, hope you get to keep it and enjoy it for a long time!

Wow - that's a beautiful job. Congratulations.

Don't see many restorations of these cars that are that thorough. I'm amazed at the time you got it done in.

Where are the "before" pics, or did I just miss them on your site? Always fun to see the transformation.

Sweet job! I can see that someone spent all his vacation/free time working on the car instead of his woman. I'm surprised you even have a finance after that. As scarce as these cars are getting, maybe its time to start looking for a new ...... I'm not going to say it. Congratulations and good luck tryng to keep it looking that way. That's no small task either.

Love the color and the restoration looks very nice indeed!
Sell the 78 car and keep the two early seventy cars one for him and one for her. Maybe she'll buy that presentation????????????????
Best of look and thanks for sharing!

Thanks again guys. I am pretty young but have been lucky to learn what I have with my dad, and I owe him a lot of thanks.
Rask...you are very right about the time I put in on this and am pretty lucky my girl is supportive, although sometimes I think she thought I loved the car more then her!
Keith, I will get some before and during pictures up tomorrow, you can see the work that went into this. Not sure if you remember me Keith but my 70 T/A is the one that you took the photos of that are up on carinbarns.com I have had that for over 8 years now and it was quite the project too but this 73 was even more the project.
Brewster...my original plan was just as you put...except she is always scared of driving the cars, although I tought her stick on the 78...but since the time I started this car my life has changed quite a bit and if I have to sell two cars then I will. They all mean a lot to me because all the time in these is with my dad.

The main and/or priceless thing here is the time spent with your Father. You can sense that from your description and you'll always have that no matter what happens to the cars.
Family first, those are words to live by, but I do hope your able to swing holding the car.
Enjoy it all and best of luck,
Brew
