Default Another Head ?

I Know this is a wild shot, but I'll ask.I have a set of 7m5 Heads from a 72 455.I'm in the process of finishing my 455 build and I was wondering if i could use those heads. Now the heads already have a valve job,cut .060 on the deck,.030 on the intake,7/16 screw in studs and gasket matched. Now i'm guessing i need around 9:1 for my cam(244/252).Now from what i understand the cc's of these heads are way to high for my app.But seeing how i'd like to get this done, and like most don't have $800 for a good set i figured i'd look into this route.btw my block is punched .060.thanks for any info.

I don't know exactly what you are asking. But I'll put this out there -

Yes you can use these heads. I don't know what your compression will be without knowing precisely what your assembled specs are. But I can confirm that these heads are enormous, CC-wise. I can also say that they are no good for performance. Why?
They have a scallop cut between each set of intake ports and the middle exhaust ports share a common space rather than being divided all the way to the flange so headers won't tune.

But if you want to get running and they are all ready to go, why not? They worked for 30 plus years, right?

7M5 heads, do those have the center dividing wall removed at the flange of the center two exh ports?
