Default Winter Projects?

What are your plans for the winter break? I plan to have my axles drilled for 5/8 studs, a new 9" Dynamic converter, and install a lightweight Flaming River steering box I have.

Just finishing my new 24x30 garage in the back.

Higher stall convertor, minitub, narrowed rear, caltracs, rewire gauges, etc to get rid of the rats nest. I would like to upgrade to some aluminum heads in spring ~310cfm, also roller cam would be nice.

Putting a 400 pontiac in my 80 chev 4x4.

Still trying to finish the two Fords taking up shop space, get the winter beater running, some passive heat in the shop is on the list. Once the winter beater is done Old Ugly is going in for some updates. The cage will go in, the subframe connectors will get welded, and the doors and fenders will get molds pulled to make glass pieces. When I am burnt out on working with one I work on another, so the Fords might actually get somewhere this winter. Should have the 467 back in and connected with a new stall before March, provided nothing bad (expensive) happens between now and then.

On the plus side of the Ford thing, one of them is in the Feb 09 issue of CarCraft.. w00t!

Installing weld magnum double beadlocks with new stickies, Installing a PG trans, repaint front end and doors, installing a sheet metal intake with fogger kit and tuning the two BRE 1050's already installed. Want to make sure the Q16 qualification at Norwalk won't be a problem next year.

And painting blue T/A stripes on the new white Honda 440 pit vehicle.

Putting Willwood front and rear brakes along with master cylinder. 4 wheel drums have to go. New 1/4 lexan front windsheild to replace my scratched 1/8 lexan. Reworked exhaust system with new flow masters. New taller front tires 26-27.5. Mabey a cage, still debateing it. Right now I am happy slowing it up to 10.00.
Steet car is getting new 10" rims with drag radials. Also getting ignition box with revlimiter. Girlfriend is going to run 12.00 class.

Plan to pull the headers from the Bird and have them Jet-Hot coated. Also put a new converter in the T/A. Jan. test and tune comes really fast after Christmas; not much time to get it done.

My winter project is to get the new motor completed and on the dyno. Hopefully by mid March.

But we also have a very short winter.

Depends on money. Might take it apart to upgrade motor with the knowledge it might not run next year.

If so:

Al. heads
roller
relocate battery
2-300 lb weight loss
Clean up engine compartment

Still trying to get my 61 tempest wagon 421 sd 4 speed street strip car painted and back together. Am way over schedule. Also thinking how to knock off a couple 1/10s on my 63 tempest 421sd street strip car. Will run 11.60s but run it in NSS and there on a .5 index and it won't go 11.50 so run 12.00 and usually break out. Its a traditional pontiac. Any idea's
