A few months ago we decided to purchase and install a lift in our shop. Cliff is simply getting to old to lay under cars these days pulling transmissions in and out, installing custom exhaust systems, etc. Anyhow, I saw the add above and decided to purchase one. Price is very attractive, and we wanted a lift big enough to lift the shop truck. I opted for the large version, which will handle quad cab pick-ups, Suburban's, etc. I placed an order back in the last week of October. My credit card was charged and after several weeks we did not have our lift. I made an inquiry and they said it was back-ordered. Waited 2 more weeks, they told us they would have one shipped from another warehouse. Waited 2 more weeks and they said they were still our of stock on them, sorry for the confusion. Well, about 10 days ago Deb calls them up, she's a lot more DIRECT than I am. She tells them to provide a tracking number or credit my account and we'll get one someplace else. They immediately sent us a tracking number, but the lift still did not show up, and the tracking number didn't show anything on the shipping companies website. Anyhow, we waited another week, which was last Monday and the shipper showed the lift to be in route. It showed up and we put it up over the past couple of days. It was well worth the wait. This is one HEAVY DUTY lift, we had to use chain falls and the engine hoist to move the parts around during installation (total weight 2100lbs). The instructions were next to useless, it's one of those things that is better if you just lay out the parts and figure it out yourself. Anyhow, we are very pleased with the end result, despite having to wait 7 weeks to get it. The final cost with shipping was $2995. I can't be overly enthusiastic about recomending the company after our experience, but at least we did get the product, no parts missing or damaged, and it is a very good lift at an exceptional price......Cliff

That looks like a good, heavy unit. I have one of the lighter duty models they sell but I got it through a different supplier. Thier prices look good. I got mine for the same reason - tired of doing heavy work lying on my back. Now I'm looking for a decent, but inexpensive tranny jack. Good luck with it. Mark O.

Jeff, I'm not sure, but they continue to advertise "specials" daily to my email address, they ar located in Texas.
Now I'm looking for a decent, but inexpensive tranny jack. I am just about finished making an adapter for the end our our engine hoist. It woln't be finished for a week or so, but I'll post some picks of it. I already had the base peice that holds the tranmissions and it fit our big shop floor jack, I've just got to cut and weld two flat peices to it so it can be bolted to the end of the engine hoist thru the large hole that holds the clevis/chain assembly I'm also making a couple of bottle jack holders to span between the ramps to lift vehicles up if/when needed. Those parts separately were nearly the price of the entire lift!........Cliff

Cliff - that's a great idea. I was thinking about buying one of those floor jack units and rigging up a stand but I like your idea much better since I already have a solid hoist. Please post some pics if you have time.
440GP69 - also interested in your unit; if you have time please post make & model. Thanks, Mark O.

Mark, still working on the trans mount, need to get some more flat steel plate to finish it up.
Here's the link to the left we bought. http://www.americanautomotiveequipme...s-p/fp12-D.htm I made a sliding fixture for putting drain pans on it yesterday. Working on some bottle jack sliding fixtures next....Cliff
