Default 3.8 Litre emblems

After having searched the forum and Google to no avail, I'm hoping someone here can provide some insight. My "3.8 Litre Overhead Cam" hood emblems are in rought shape. I have had absolutely no luck finding repro's (except for the 4.1's), and the chroming places can only re-plate ferrous metals. These are obviously pot metal, as my magnet has no effect on them.

I have considered stripping them and using the "chrome" paints available, but would rather do better if possible.

If anyone has a source for good repros, I would love to have that info. If someone has suggestions on how to refinish them, that would be appreciated too. Thanks.

Place an ad in the appropriate 'parts wanted' classified forum, you'll likely find a good used set in better shape than yours.

I'm not sure if our forum host Performance Years carries a repro of those or not, you might want to call and ask one of salespeople at PY to see if they do.

They are not available in aftermarket. I had a pair of them about a year ago, but they probably weren't in any better condition than what you're describing.
