oil pump rebuild?
Does anyone know if I can re-use these pumps? And what are the 2 dots on the gear ends? Do they line up or go together at the bottom end?

There are no "rules". If you want to reuse them, there's no one out there to stop you. SHOULD you reuse them? Not a chance. For $50, a new one is "cheap insurance". Both plates show significant wear.
The dot on the drive (shafted) gear will be to the top of the pump. The dot on the driven gear should line up to the right of the dot on the drive gear, but toward the bottom of the pump. Jim |
