The 400 currently in my '75 belongs in my '68 which is near ready for the engine. So I'm going to use the LT1/4L60E I have in the '75. I have frame mounts, etc...For the sake of simple and cheap, can I use the LT1 exhaust manifolds and will I need to notch, move or modify anything to clear the a/c compressor? On my '67 Impala SS I had to notch the front cross member.

You would do better to ask that over on www.LS1tech.com
They have a section for new style motors going into older cars. |

By the way, the manifolds fell in there perfectly and a small notch was needed to clear the a/c, easiest late/early swap I ever did.
