Im looking into what its going to take on this transplant. Looking at doing one right now I'm figuring all the mounts and maybe modifying the trans cross member and possibly driveshaft. Possible distributer firewall interference with the HEI
Any brackets available for this sucker? Just curious on what's out there 1st before I take this thing on.

Well other than the fuel lines on the opposite side, should be a snap if I use 71 chevell mounts for a 454... right ?

Mounts for an A-body Chevelle won't be what you'd need, but some for a first-gen F-body 396 Camaro would do the trick. You should be able to source those from an aftermarket supplier, both the frame mounts that bolt to the crossmember and the engine mounts.
Not sure on the crossmember, but I doubt it would be any different than a TH400 crossmember for a Firebird as the trans sits in the same location, same would go for the TH350/4-speed crossmember. Fuel lines might already be in the right location, on my '69 Firebird they are on the passenger side and cross over to the driver's side at the front crossmember. The HEI should fit, they fit when you use a Pontiac engine. If not, there are small-body HEI distributors made off of the small-cap points distributors available out there (PY member SunTuned does them).

If you do this swap you must use big block 67-69camaro mounts and transmission crossmember they were oddball because of clearence issues.

ok the guys are right you need 68 camaro bb engine stands all the camaro vendors have them, however your transmission crossmember is the same as a bb camaro, pontiac engines are offset to the side like bb camaros, not to be confused w small block camaros whose drivelines set centered, also hooker has 2 inch headers for for this for about 200 bucks, ive had a lot firbirds all pontiac powered and alot of factory bb camaros so if yu need any help!

Thanks for the input guy!! Much Appreciated.
I realized it was a different frame later on that night after I posted. Trying to help this guy get his ride on the road, His girl friend said either get it running or sell it. So I want to help him if I can.

WHEN I PUT THE BBC INTO MY '67 FIREBIRD, I USED THE MOROSO SOLID FRAME AND ENGINE MOUNTS WITH THE EXISTING PONTIAC CROSS MEMBER. I HAD SOME CLEARANCE PROBLEMS WITH THE HEI BIG CAP DISTRIB. CLEARING THE REAR 2 BARREL HOLLEY (i.e. CHEV. TRI-POWER INTAKE) FORCED ME TO REMOVE THE CARB THEN INSTLL THE DISTRIB THEN RE-INSTALL THE HOLLEY. BUT IT ALL WENT TOGETHER JUST FINE.
