have a car with perfect door panels, but power windows and no wiring under the hood.is it possible to jump the wires from the motors to lower the windows to pull the door panels off?

Your power take off comes off the fuse block (under the dash),so you SHOULD be able to feed it 12 volts & lower your windows that way,if the wiring for them is still in place.

As I recall it's a FAT orange wire that just plugs in beside one of the fuses.

If the motor wires is all you have to work with, you can jump them to a battery and run the windows up and down. They're just DC motors, the car doesn't have anything to do with it.

Tried out a pair of doors for my fishing van that way. Wanted to know they worked before painting and installing.

went out today to work on it....someone cut the wires...they are stuck in the hole in the door, but when i pulled on them they just fell out.

oh well,i'll just take the bottom of the door panel loose and try to drop the window.

Hopefully when you get the door panel lose there will be enough wire left to pull them out through a hole and still run the windows down.

Just be careful, I reckon every hole in a inner door panel was designed to cut the hell out of you.

CAREFULLY pry/pop the front lower doorpanel away from the door frame.
Power window motor is located down low, near the front.

Put your 12 volt power source/battery close by & grab your test leads.

There are TWO terminals on the motor where the wire plugs in.

Ground the door to the battery & touch one of the motor terminals with your hot lead.

If the window doesn't go down, hit the other one & it SHOULD go down for you.
