I have a 95 Olds Cutlass Supreme Conv.
I'd like to convert it to a Pontiac with exterior sheet metal & trim to make sort of the Grand Prix GM never made. My question is, what Pontiac motor will best be suited to fit into the FWD Olds Cutlass to replace my 3.4L? I assume I'll need to replace the ECM and/or Wiring harness? Any input would be great. |

Interesting Idea! The sheet metal off a Gp on the Olds Convertible
But I'd keep the 3.4l if its the double overhead cam V6 I dont believe any pontiac V8 reardrive eng would work If you want a V8 try a Candy V8 or the Olds or Bonnie v8 front drives Best bet would be to get another running car that been body damaged and use its electronics One thing to watch out for is how close the rear cylinder head is to the firewall the rear plugs were a tight fit on my 89 Gp V6 2.8 Brad in Louisville |

Well, your 95 is a W-body, not a G. And only the Pontiac 'Iron Duke' four banger was installed in some W's. There are W-body GP forums which could offer help, but dropping a Pontiac V8 in it would take a ton of $$$$.
The W body Impala SS had a corporate 5.3L V8, so that may work. [with $$$] |
