I'm working on an 06 G6 with the acordian type sunroof (RPO C3Y).
It won't open or close . The sunshade will move a little bit and the front section of glass is stuck up 1" on the passenger side. It will close momentarily but will go right back to being open the 1" and the drivers front is down all the way. Also the sunshade goes back to the fully open position. I've checked for service bullitins and couldn't find anything for this situation. Is there any 1 piece or pieces thats bad or does the whole assembly have to be replaced?

Bill have you had any luck yet with this. There is a procedure for reprogramming the roof you might try. I can post it for you , i just need to know if it has the panoramic roof or not.

Just an update, I got the ok from the customer to take the car apart. Once I got the sunroof assembly out of the car, there is an allen head insert in the motor to operate it manually and I found out the mechanism for the first piece of glass (this roof has 4 seperate pieces of glass) is binding up on the drivers side. Since there is hardly anything servicable on the sunroof, the whole sunroof frame is getting replaced (over $800 just in parts) outside of the glass and sunshade that I have to switch over.
