Default 1970 Grand Prix SJ roller - black on black

70 GP SJ model rolling body for sale. Car is black on black, auto, ac, ps, pdb, console, buckets, tilt column, wood wheel, pwr windows & 12 bolt posi rear w/3:07 gear. Car was wrecked in the 80's on the left front and sat since after the engine/trans being robbed. Overall body condition is above average for a car that has sat for that long in the elements. Request additional pics of whatever you need to see and I'll follow up.Based on condition and desirable parts on the car, my price is $1500. If the car doesn't sale soon, my next option will be to part car out. Thanks

Does the dash have any cracks?
How about a few pics of the trunk and rear frames.
Maybe a few interior pics.
A few pics of the front grill and the damage that happened.
Thanks

Took several other pics today as requested. I'm not sure if I'm able to add the additional pics to this post. When I posted the system had a max of 5 pics. With that said, I'll forward the shots via pm. Also, I forgot to add the following options, pwr door locks, lt door remote mirror, am/fm radio, rear defog and under hood lamp. Let me know if I can answer any other questions. Thanks.

Yes car is registered in my name in the state of AL. State does not require titles beyond 74 or 75, they issue tag reciepts with which you can obtain a title in your state with the reciept & notarized bill of sale. There are several other states like AL that do not produce titles for vehicles that are X age. Thanks.

VERY IMPORTANT ADDITION TO OPTIONS!!!!!.Stupid me had forgot to list the drivers pwr seat option. I went back and read my ad and saw that I didn't list the pwr seat. If the car doesn't sale my Monday of the coming week, I will part the car out. Part prices will be based on fair market prices based on quality of part. I've recieved a few emails requesting individual parts, I'd like to keep everything within this thread if possible to be fair to all involved. Thanks again.

Question

Why would you part a car of this rarity out?

Aren't we supposed to be SAVING these things?

Try eBay?

Default PLEASE EDUCATE ME???

Rare, I've got 2 of these and practically can't give away either. I primarily like the TA's, have 2, a 2 owner TATA w-400-4sdp that's really nice and a 2 owner 70 blue on blue 400-4spd car that's rough as a cobb! I bought the 2 GP's over 2 years ago and thought they'd be desirable cars since the TA's,GTO's,69 Camaros & 70 Chevelle's are beyond most of the working folks price range. Somewhere along the way I missed something, can't figure out why I can't move 3 owner 71 GP w-original paint, non matching motor but excellent car to restore for $1900. This blows my mind!!!! Why can't I sale this car? Run,ride, drive anywhere with minor exhaust rpr if you don't mind riding on the polyglass tires. All pwr windows work great, buckets, console, perfect dash, 14x7 r-2's, 10 bolt posi, am-fm radio, near perfect trim, floors and trunk pans that are solid as a rock! Why won't this car sale? The other black on black 70 that's wrecked on the LT front, educate me, why is this car rare? Sure it does have several really nice options but that's all that I see at this point. Should I fix this car? Please tell me if I should, I will not part the car if it shouldn't be parted due to a limited production number of options, colors, etc. My thinking is this, if the car is rare, $1500 is a bargain in my opinion! If my research is correct, pls correct me if i'm wrong, parts will fit the A-bodied car as well, the true 12 bolt posi rear should be worth $750, pwr bucket seat w-passenger- $600 -$1000 & tilt column- $350. These parts alone would almost add up to my $1500 price. The 70 car also has near perfect door panels, only the lower carpet is worn, dash pad has (1) crack in the middle that could be easily repaired with it out of the car so that it could be dyed, pwr window set up, door and rear glasses, rear window with defogger, console, am-fm, 2 doors, under hood lamp, left door remote mirror, etc, etc, all those small parts.

Thanks for the offer but I'm on the verge of being ran off with all my automobiles by "the boss" if I don't get rid of a few. I've hid and hid but now ran out of places to hide and "trade stories" to tell. It's really amazing how they change overnight once you say " I DO". My plans are to put the funds these 2 bring into the TA's.

Well, if all you're considering is the sum of the parts, then some of our Pontiacs would have been cut up 20 years ago.

I ask again: Have you spent the $20 to list these cars on eBay? You seem to forget, also, that we're in a bit of a recession right now, so right now is probably not the time to be moving project cars.

By the way: the verb is "sell", not "sale."

If it wasn't so far away I'd love to have that 12 bolt for my '70.I've thought about it before, and sad but true my GP and T/A are probably worth more in parts than as a whole.

Thanks for the correcting my english, I really admire people like you who try to point out others flaws. I posted the ad with intent to get honest feedback from others who know these cars, not to be corrected on the way to use the words sale vs. sell. Was that a run on sentence? Sorry about that !

That might be a 455 HO car. Might want to run the PHS?

yes, it IS a 455 HO car. all SJ's got that engine as part of the package. did you guys notice the leather interior, how often do you see that? yeah the leather ain't great, but the buttons are '70 only and try and find them. only 5,565 SJ's were made in '70. these are great cars and it's too bad they arn't appriciated more.

Default Thanks Matt & Fasteddy

I appreciate Matt and Fasteddy pointing out the car being a 455 car. I wasn't aware and really do appreciate the info. With that said, you guys will be glad to know the car will not be parted out. As of today, I've recieved a $ to hold the car for 5 days. Hopefully this will work out, if not, I just got off the phone with another buyer who states he'll take the car if the other deal goes bad. A big thanks to the folks here at Performance Years, I appreciate the help and info!!!!
