For sale:
Power steering gear box out of 1977 Pontiac Trans Am I bought this in the early 1980s from someone parting out a 1977 Trans AM. I intended to use it on one of my projects, but never did. The only thing I did was remove the steering arm & clean up the outside. I plugged the fluid inlets & blasted it with Dupont Starblast. The paint is polyurethane gloss black. Mounting holes: 3 Fittings are SAE 11/16 x 18 and 5/8 x 18 Input shaft diameter .725" measured across the splines. This is commonly described as 3/4 inch. Output shaft diameter: 1.25" Number of turns lock to lock: approximately 3.1 On top adjusting nut cover Stamped: 9A166 Cast: 7812145 On main casting: 7826692 69 162 On end plug: 7809512 Eric L.
