On a 76 Trans Am with air conditioning how difficult is it to remove the front center speaker from the dash? From the manual it looks like you remove the glove box, remove a piece of ac duct and the radio but this really does not tell if this is a easy job or if its a real pain to do. I know there are a few of you that have done this before so please let me know how it is to do. Thanks

The A/C lower duct that need to be removed can be a bit fussy going back in sometimes,but if you are patient & take your time,it's NOT that bad of a job.(be careful with duct as they can be broken/cracked easily)

Lying upside down on the pass.seat with your head under the dash is how to aproach the speaker once ducts are out of the way.

Wear mechanics gloves. There are a lot of sharp little things under there to scratch and cut you.

I removed some of the ac duct and the radio to get to the screw that secures the speaker and now it is loose but I can not figure how to get it out. Is there more that needs to be removed to get this done? All that secures it is 1 screw and it looks like some 3m calk.

I had to remove the aluminum dash panel because it covered a screw just to the right of the volt gauge, it held a duct that was in the way and once it was removed the speaker just about fell out
