They are located in Pheonix, AZ at 23811 N 7th Ave

I am looking to buy some quarter panels from them and they informed me they have them but, I need to either give them a CC or send a MO before they send me pictures of what they have. They say they will not charge the card (send the MO back) if what they show me is not acceptable to me. The only thing they will say is that the part will not have any rust through but can have dents, dings, surface rust and will require 8 to 10 hours of prep to use. They indicated it could have bondo but not 5 lbs worth. Seems kinda strange that they require funds before they show me a picture of what they are selling. They informed me that is their standard practice. The pictures on their web site are pictures when the cars first came into their yard and do not constitute what the cars look like now.

Before I shell out any money or give them a CC, has anyone on this board purchased from them before. If so, how was your experience?

Also, anyone live near by who could visit and see first hand what they got. PM me if you could.

I have never purchased from them before. But I did tour their yard earlier this year and posted a thread with pics in the 73-77 A-Body section. The cars are very rust free and they are pricey. Kind of sucks they are asking for money before they send a pic.

Ziggy, I have bought several items from them but allways with cash in hand. Most of their stuff is pretty good but pricy!!! Asking for funds up front sounds a bit wierd just to send you some pics. Contact Steve Barcak in Maricopa AZ. He probably has what you need & wont charge for pics!! [email protected] www.pontiacheaven.org. If Steve doesnt have what you need, PM me the info & I will go out & get some pics myself & send them to you.

That does not sound like a good business practice to me.

Why not consider buying from me? I have more Pontiacs than they do, am a member of this board, host Pontiac events and have saved about 700 Pontiacs from the crusher? Also, probably less money too?
Just curious...

I bought a rear quarter for a 66 GTO, fortunately, I was in Phoenix on the company's dime and picked out what I wanted and marked where I wanted it cut. Paid and left. Got exactly what I wanted and in a timely manner.
Based on what MY expierence I would buy again. If they take your credit card number and send you the pixs, then you don't like what you see, looks like no harm, no foul.

They want to get paid to send marketing materials to a potential client?

Right.

Try Steve Barcak; he doesn't play those amateurish games.

Very simple, if they won't provide a simple pic for free, don't give them business. I used to live in Phx and have bought from them before, but that was in the early '90's.

I dont live in Arizona, but i to have been there several times looking at what they have.I will say also that the parts are rust free and there prices are thru the roof.Problem is is that they feel they have you by the short hairs as they have what you need and you'll pay the money for that part or someone else will. They also have several deals with other local salage yards in buying older cars from them.Have you tried here under the parts wanted section advertizing what you are looking for or have you givin up on that ? By the way what kind and year of car are you buying used quarters for if you dont mind my asking ?

I have purchased from them before. I was pretty fed up with them by the time it was over, but in the end I did get a rust free trunk pan for a 64 GTO.

I purchased fenders from them and there were no hassles, just great fenders. I suppose in this economy they figure it's costing them to send someone in the yard to take pictures. Same people running the business or a 2nd generation taking over and running things their way.
