Default 72 GTO dash gauge operation

I have the factory gauge package, when I turn off the ignition my oil pressure gauge returns to zero, my gas gauge returns to empty and my oil pressure gauge needle moves to 250 degrees , is this normal?

The gauges in my recently sold '72 LeMans Sport GT Conv. acted the same way.
