I am not having much luck with this holley carb. Does anyone have any experance with the dual quad edelbrock setup? Should I just stick with a single?

Depends on you really Dual Quads will always be cool. But you will spend a bit of time getting them just right with tuning. Also depends on what car its going into. If you have low clearance in your hood you might run into a few bumps. A single 4 barrel will always be easier to tune in and maintain. So if your going for looks I would say Dual Quad.

there is much on 2-4s on this site.MANY of us run them.FYI the offy 2-4 is better than the E and the right early AFBs require almost no tuning to get them right.Carbking is a good source of info.Tom

I had dual Edels on my 462 but have an Offy manifold. Thought it was extremely responsive. Nothing bad to say about the set-up except it takes a tad of grinding and distributor reorientation to fit with HEI. Going to try a pair 0f 660s on a Wenzler next. Now using a MSD dizzy

OK please dont take this as an insult but I have to ask, If you cant get one carb to work correctly how will you deal with two? (8-)

Well its not so much the carb. I am doing a cam swap and was gonna change the intake out anyways as it just has a Edelbrock performer on it. I was just gonna get a torker but last night something got stuck in one of the float valves and flooded the engine. I think the fuel line is coming apart from the inside. So I was thinking last night if I am gonna change everything out anyways would it be work upgrading to a dual quad setup.

Your reasoning is more clear now. I just when thru that crap in the fuel line and flooding deal. This pump gas we have now just eats anything rubber, Ive had to replace all the flexible gas lines on all my old stuff with modern fuel injection hose which is a lot more resistant to alcohol. Ive gone back to factory style gas filters on my street Qjets.
Anyway your post inspired me to fritter away an hour finding bits and pieces in the garage for a 2x4. Offy manifold, 2 750 afbs, etc. Still have to build or buy linkage and fuel line. Maybe get it running someday. LOL

Lots of good options for manifolds and carbs for your deal. Single or otherwise. The idea of multiple carbs is always in the back of the mind for most of us. Lots of folks on this forum run them successfully on the street.
