I recantly cut off the flanges of my header on the pass. side for the dip stick removal ease plus went ahead and cut off flange between 6 and 8. now my header is leaking right between 4 and 6. Ive tryed a new gasket with no luck. Headers are ceramic coated and its really a pain to get at no.6 header bolt. I cannot double up on the gaskets because header bolts won,t let me do it. I am using a Mr. gasket header gaskets and they really hold up everywhere alse. Any suggestions would be apprec. I will need a gasket that i can cut and slide into position.

Is it leaking right between the two middle ports? I wouldn't think that cutting the flanges would allow any added distortion between those two.. It must be a surface that is not flat. Can you take that and check it for flat ness in that area?

Yep, first thing i did was to lay a flat square across head, perfect. I did notice headers on all ports have weld build up along ridges, maybe thats the problem.

I wouldn't use anything made by MR gasket. I was blowing collector gasket every few weeks. I finally stepped up and used Fel Pro collector gaskets and they last me 9 months a pair. I'll never buy mr gasket again
