I remember in high school that there were several trans ams that had both the formula and the trans am hood scoops on them. I always thought that it looked funny. Was this a factory option or was it home brewed. Does anyone make a good fiberglass TA hood and nose?

Those were definitely home brewed. Estrada's T/A from Chips may have been the inspiration for many of those. The T/A's were originally designed with the Formula hood in mind though, just minus the shaker. I'm one of the few here that like the look of excess, but I'd never do that to a real T/A. I'm pretty sure glass fronts and hoods are available, you'll need to ask around though if they're any good.

Anvil Products is producing Formula hoods all the front sheet metal in a combination of Fibreglass and carbon fibre.....from the prototype, they look like great parts.
I also kind of like the 70's flavour of shaker and Formula hood...though I'd never cut a good Formula hood to do it. My 71's Formula hood will remain stock so I can run factory RamAir.

LOL. Can't have too many scoops!.. I dont know. I have a Formula and LOVE the 2 scoops (of raisins), And prefer it over the T/A scoop look, by a small margin.. That's why I bought a Formula.. but to be honest.. I really don't DISLIKE the 3 scoop look. I dont know if I could bring myself to DO IT....

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I've always liked the Shakeula Hood.

How could something so wrong be so right? If a little is good, more is better. '70s excess, baby! I love it!

When this comes up I always just cringe. This is a love it or hate it thing and I JUST HATE IT. Can somebody please post a picture of their air cleaner modifications that make this more than just a bad cosmetic change.

Are those pictures photoshoped or real. Are the scoops all functional? I like the look! Anyone got a formula hood for sale?
