Default New guy from Norfolk, VA

Hey everyone. Noob here. My name is Dan and I have 2 pontiacs. The first one is a 2002 Trans Am, Ram Air, WS6, bone stock except for 3 pt sfc's. My second one is a 1980 Trans Am, with a 78 400 6.6 pontiac motor, 78 4 spd manual tranny, and a 78 nose. I can't post pics from here while at work on the gubment computers. The things done to the 80 are, sfc's, traction bars, lunati .490 lift cam, 800 cfm edelbrock carb, performer intake, new distributer, roller rockers, and valve springs. She is my pride and joy. Like i said, i'll post some pics later. Just want to say, i am glad to be here. I am thinking about going to the motorsports parkway for the pontiac nationals event. I want to see what my car will do down the strip. My only concern is that i am pretty new to the whole thing and not sure how it's gonna go. I have had my car for 2 years now and never ran it down a track. I really want to, but it just hasn't happened yet. I don't want to race, i just want to test and tune and be there for the car show and pretty much the whole event.

BZ,
Welcome. I'm in VA BCH.
You'll have a good time at the PYPN show.
I've always enjoyed the event as long as the weather is good

Cheers

Ha! His wife can't get him away from there!
I'm a former Tidewater'n. Now Carolina boy, but miss that area. You will find much pride in the Pontiac community around there. Show him the ropes, Jeff.

They still cruise at Jenro's? I used to be a regular there from '92-'96. Saw a lot of nice cars and ate a lot of good Nachos there.

I think I still have a t-shirt I won for something or other during those years.

Welcome, bluzurb. You've found a great place to hang out here.

yeah they still hang out there on saturday's. we got lucky last saturday. we really didn't know if there would be anyone there, but there was. We were just cruising, some buddies and I, and we just ended up there. Usually if the weather is nice, people will be there. So, finally, here are some pics of my cars.

Don't Worry it just a power trip thing
Just kidding, since your a newbie they will post them soon.

As far as Jenro's I still go over once in a while.
It's still hanging on but nothing like it was.
Mike does his best to keep it going and I try to support it,
It is almost the only game in town.
The Farmers market & Handels Ice Cream keep trying, they just don't get lots of turn out. Average 20/30 at best.

it sure sounds like a power trip thing. in my opinion, let the people post pictures. Everyone is asking to see pics of my car and when i do go to post them, i have to wait.

But anyway, what car do you drive up to Jenros, Jeff?

Sorry to pop your conspiracy theory, but we have been burned by people who sign up and spam us with tons of graphic porno pics overnight.

Just trying to run a family-friendly site here. The software is set to hang on to the first couple of posts until we get a chance to look at them.

Kurt

(note)- my magic editing wand seems to be broken- I'll get the admin to onlock your pics- Nice looking 'birds, by the way.

Welcome to the PY forums, Dan.

I'd encourage you to run the '80 Firebird down the track and don't be concerned how it will do. Just have fun.

yeah i will be running the 80 down the track. Just need to do some a little more upgrades on it. My next thing is putting E3 Spark plugs, 8.8mm wires, ignition coil, and HEI module upgrade. I am hoping after that, she will run just fine.

yeah so um...still no pictures. you guys really take forever. i would think that since you have that rule that you would have someone on here about everyday looking at pics to make sure they are good and actually posting them.
