Interested to see if anyone has ever done a engine swap (Pontiac 350 with e-heads block is date code 1975) into a 78 Lemans, what headers, engine motor mounts, turbo 400 longtail or short-tail, what stall would work good with a 373 posi in this car....

I put a 400 in my 78 GP, which is also a G-body, withut issue. I used RamAir Manifolds from RARE with a Pypes exhaust and it fit great. The motor mounts on the 301 are in the position as the later year V8s (like what you have) so that will fit no problem. You will need a different crossmember to fit dual exhaust as well as the longer trans. The cars originally only came with a TH200 or TH350.

If the car originally had a 301 in it then you can use the mounts from it just like mquerci stated. As far as a stall recommendation we need some more info on the engine other than a 350 with E-heads. Headers for the car if you decide to go that route will likely have to be custom made as the E-heads are round port.

Indian Adventures used to make round port headers for A/G bodies, I would run an ad in the performance section, you might get lucky. -Jim

One more thing, you might want to look at what Rick "Iceman" sells http://www.maliburacing.com/iceman/, I have his crossmember and rear upper/lower control arms, he makes good quality stuuf. -Jim
