Default Binswanger Glass ducks warranty

I originally took my 77 TA to Binswanger Auto Glass in 1998 (dumb choice) when the back glass had separated from the factory seal and had them R&R the rear glass. I was assured that
the installation included a lifetime warranty as long as I owned the vehicle. The repair
was simple and there was no corrosion or rust anywhere.

I recently noticed some paint blisters on the passenger side lower quarter panel.
Upon closer inspection I found that the urethane seal installed by Binswanger Auto Glass had separated from the body along the lower edge under the chrome trim allowing water to leak under the urethane and into the trunk.

I dig up my receipt and take the car to Binswanger and explain the problem. They look at the car and seal and say yes we will repair the seal under warranty. I take the car to my
trusted body shop for the quarter panel repair and Binswanger sends their tech to do the work there. He pulls the glass and there is corrosion and rust under the urethane where its been leaking. Tech tells me the repair will not be covered under warranty because he thinks the leakage was caused by the rust damage and he needs me to authorize $150 to R&R the glass. Basically saying "The seal is good, your car started to leaking by itself."

This car is a Texas car that I have owned since 1984. It has no rust anywhere except now in the areas directly related to the leaking seal. After phone call to the Auto glass manager she states that they have no record of the work done in 1998 (other than my original receipt) and that current policy does not warranty glass installation (unless I buy new glass too)

I am pretty understanding and was not asking them to repair any of the rust damage, just to honor the original terms of the warranty on the install. Needless to say I informed the manager that their services are no longer needed.
