Default 68 Endura nose cracking issues.

My friend has a 68 GTO and the original endura nose keeps cracking, he has repainted it multiple times over the years and the cracks eventually show back up. Do they offer a good quality fiberglass "endura" nose as a replacement or a very good reproduction. If so through whom and how much. Has anyone installed a reproduction nose and what is your opinion. This would be installed on a VERY nice 68 so he would only be after a quality piece.

As a side note he has ground out the original urethane and filled it with the correct repair resin but the cracks eventually come back around. The repaint is very costly for it is House of Kolors Candy Brandy Wine, stunning out in the sunlight. Thank you for your opinions and help.

You can always find a 68 Le Mans front bumper to use after it's dechromed, I did this on my 69 GTO years ago and another plus is they're a lot lighter than the Endura bumper. You do have to do some welding of grille mounts at least I did on my 69. I also had custom paint done and didn't want to have to deal with the cracking of the Endura. We actually welded it solid to the front fenders so there was no bumper seam to make the front end all one piece and it looked great with no seams, but GTOs were just used cars in 1974 and not high priced collectibles as they are now.

The car was black with very well done flames in Candy colors over gold base on the front half of the car.
