Talking Finally The Bird is Back Running !!!!!!!!!!

After 4 years of running on 87 octane I had a failure of a piston at Pontiac's in the park . Ran 10 passes Friday 11.30- 11.41 3900 lbs street trim and first pass on Sat. I had a piston melt the outside edge and blew the head gasket .Thank You Jim aka MRPBODY for EVERYTHING !!!!! Now With a little more head work it might see 10.90s but no more 87 octane 93 only .

Congrats !!

Are you running the 400 or a 455? Looks like we have similar weight cars.

Congrats. I haven't been back to the track since the 5 speed went in. I had very poor 60 fts last time so I'm hoping to improve upon that. It looks like you're using Caltracs. Like-em?

I'm running a 400 block Here is a link to the engine specs . The time slip time is old it now runs 11.30s in the heat and 11 teens in good air.http://www.pontiacstreetperformance....uild461DS.html

I have decided to keep it , What have you been up to John ? The other car I wanted has been sold .It was a GTO convert that I could tow my bass boat with .

Caltracs are a must !!!!!!! My car is on the web sight photos .

Dan
