Seems like I saw the # in a thread a while back.....but I've searched and cant find.....
Anyone know the width of a stock 1969 10 bolt rear (axle flange to flange)? Reason asking is I am about to purchase wheels, and the rear on my car is a 12 bolt posi. I know what backspacings work with 15x8 rim and 276/60/15s on a stock rearend (4.5") car.......but I'd like to compare the width of my 12 bolt rear vs. stock to ensure correct backspace on rim (if I need to compensate). Thanks.

68-72 rears should be 55 1/2" from the inside of the brake backing plates.
64-67 is 1" narrower at 54 1/2" No difference from 10 to 12 bolts. Hope that helps.
