Default Turn signs not working on 78 TA

I was trying to add a switch to my manual transmission for the back up lights and it did not go well. Now the turn signals do not work (Hazards work). I have the wiring diagram and I know they both use the same power source, but I can not locate on the fuse block and they are not getting power. All the fuses are fine, but I have no power at the inst. light fuse. Is that where the turn signals get their power, it is not listed on the diagram. If I jump power directly to the flasher unit, everything works. I really hate to open up the wiring harness and or try and remove the fuse box. Any help would be appreciate.

Turn signals and hazards should be on different fuses. Hazards work with key off and turn signals work with key on. If no turn signal or back up lamp fuse check the gauge fuse.

Instrument lamp fuse is only hot when the lights are turned on, and has nothing to do with turn signals.

Probe fuses again with a test light and make sure power is on both ends of fuses and clips/holders. New fuses are notorious for looking good but not making good contact in the end caps. Some can even 'test' good 'with a light' but not let enough current through.

About the only way to have a wiring problem would've been to had too strong a fuse in the box and then shorted out a hot wire.

X2 on what 2002Z4CSS said. Turn and hazard are on different fuses.
Seperate fuses and seperate flashers.

When I had no Turn Signals or reverse lights and couldn't turn off the car, it wound of being the ignition switch, you could see the burn marks on it. Replacing tha fixed those issues , but i I messed up the Oil/temp guage and the radio when fixing the original issue.

It turned out to be the fuse at the very top of the fuse box. I missed it the first time as it is well hidden by the hazard flasher and other wire, and not easy to get to. Thanks for all of your help. I still have to redo my wiring harness, but that will have to wait for another day.

Glad to hear it is fixed.
