Default GTO Power windows

I am sure that this has been asked before. Does the power window set up specific to certain years.
I have a 69 convertible, can I use the regulators out of a 71 or do they have to be from a 69?

To my knowledge,69 is one year only on the fronts.68 was stand-alone also, due to the wing window.69 is one year only, due to the lack of a side reinforcement brace in the doors.70-72 are interchangeable, but different from 69 or 68.Rears are all the same.i put power windows from a 69 Grand prix without any problem in my 69 vert.Chevelle, skylark,Cutlass will also work.Cadillac will not.Good luck.

the motors are basically the same, the regs are unique...like stated 68 is 68...69 is 69 only 70 72 interchange

thats for the door regs, the 1/4 regs are 68-72...

wire harnesses have differences but will work if ya take it all from the car

68-72 elcamino works for 68 a-body

Anybody try the aftermarket power window regulator kits that Jeggs, Summit, etc. sell?

Here's the offering from Summit.

Another dumb question, what cars are interchangeable? I assume the Chevelle, Cutlass, Skylark are fully interchangeable, but what other vehicles, i.e is the Impala inter changeable

Not 100% sure(but pretty close)Impalas and other "B"-bodies window regulators are not interchageable with "A" bodies.
