Who's gone chrome-less around windows?
Has anyone on here removed their front and rear window chrome and used black rubber trim instead and if so what did you do around the bottom of the window - especially near the right and left pillars?

I've seen pics of it done over the years, but IIRC it requires filling the gaps tighter with sheetmetal to get the gap right for the black rubber.

I would think that you could do it without rework of metal.
Move the lower blocks up on the windshield,it will make it fit tighter on 3 sides, fill the gap with urethane window weld, while still wet push the trim into it and hold flat until the urethane sets. The rear may need bigger trim because the glass cant be moved up.

Glass shops will sell generic black trim in all different widths. That's all ya need. I used to install auto glass years ago.
