I believe that car belongs to one of the Glasgos. Think it is John's brother, but can't think of his name. John has a 70 GTO done as an Orbit Orange RAIV Judge. Both cars are awesome restorations and were built for Pure Stock Drags if I remember correctly. John posts on PY as J GLASGO.

Absolute, beautiful cars. I have got to get to Norwalk. Due to a back injury, I have a problem standing and walking for any length of time. Does anbody know if a person can rent a golf cart or simular type of cart for a disabled person to use?

Hmm, I know they allow you to bring your own into the facility, not sure if they have them to rent though ? It's too bad you missed it, it was a great show. I have 150 pics if you'd like I could try to E mail them to you. PM me your adress if you'd like.

I talked to the owner of that Oct. Baltimore build low mile '68 and he confirmed original a couple of "unconventional" things I noticed.
1) black painted hood hinges 2) gray hot air flex tube 3) Lemans/chrome bumper style filler panel behind the endura on top of core support.

You can rent a golf cart or bring your own handicapped scooter in. I rode mine all weekend.
And thanks to the Glasgo's for bringing out those fantastic GTO's I saw them in person also and they do fantastic work. They been at it since the 80's and have just gotten better!

Johnny,
Thanks for posting those pics! I absolutely love the black/red RAIV GTO. Killer car for sure. And if pics are not enough, here is the video of the Glasco's Dyno Run. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLiXhgPNqKY Awesome cars !! I'd like to find out more info on the black 69. Was it a factory IV car? and factory black/red? |

Yeah, thanks for posting. That Black on Red is 'scary-sharp'.
One other car that you took pics of caught my eye. For some reason, the '66 GTO, red with white interior, poverty caps and skinny whitewall tires. Love it.

John, thanks for the Youtube link, pretty awesome !!! I'm not sure if the black/red car was born those colors, the phs was in on the dash, but I didn't even pay attention to the color codes, just that it said : Ram Air IV, Close ratio 4 speed (IIRC), special order axle, ride and handling package, hideaways,,,, and I think that's about it ?? Have to ask Mr. Glasgo
Gregg, I also love the red/white 66',,, those were the first pics I took, I was parked just down the way from it with my bird.. great colors and the dogdish/white wall combo is too sweet !!! 6's and 9's are my favorites,, but I love them all !!! |
