Default Door rocker panel sill plate

79 Formula

I can't tell if these metal plates on the door sills are OEM.
They look too well formed to be fabbed, but too unfinished to be OEM.

This is the passenger side, the driver side needs replacement. I couldn't find
any such part in the manual, or on the PY catalog. Thanks.

i found these on the PY catalog, is this the same?

I'm restoring my 79 TA as well and when I got to the rocker panels they looked the same way so I'm assuming they are factory OEM.. That one doesn't look too bad and I'm sure if you sanded it down it would come out fine...

Those rocker plates are factory. They cover the wiring harnesses that go to the back of the car and provide a platform for the aluminum sill places that retain the carpet. Bare steel is correct since they were covered by interior pieces.

What they said-factory. They do seem to rust just form normal moisture since they were bare metal.
