Default 65 gto cluster center indicator lights

What color are the center indicator lights on the 65 GTO? I ordered some and they sent two (green) ones , were both green or was one red, or both red? I'm replacing mine and the old ones were blackened. Thanks for any replys.

The green lense is for the turn signal indicator. Red lense is for the high beam indicator. Turn signal indicator is the lower one in insturment panel. High beam indicator is the upper one.

I think they send 2 greens because just one green is not Dark enough. I bought some of these maybe 5-10 years ago and they gave you only 1 green. Recently I bought a set of these and they now give you 2 green, like you mentioned. I installed just one green in my dash and now when its on its not dark enough, you can see a lot of detail behind the green lense. You can clearly see the bulb itself and the metal gage holder that it sits in. When I pull the dash apart this winter to put the tach back in I am going to put the 2nd green one in.

That's my take on the 1 red and 2 green lens. FWIW

Default Turn Signal and High Beam telltale indicators

The tiny upper hole for the headlamps high-beam on indicator should be dark red, when the #1895 light bulb behind it comes on the indicator will light up as a nice bright cherry red. The turn signal indicator should be lime green. The factory used a very thin semi-translucent clear tinted disc that always fades over time from exposure to sunlight. There is a molded green filter that I use which is more durable. You have to shave or file off about 1/16" of the end of the cardboard tube as it is slightly thicker than the original disc.

I will post a photo if there is interest.
