Default S-D Performance anybody with experience?

I have a 68 intake that i removed all the heat & choke set-up and litened it up about 25 pounds and wanted to send it to S&d Performance for a complete intake make-over and see if any, any real performance gains over my RPM witch i have on my motor now. Anybody running one of there intakes and are you happy with everything they did??? I see they follow Cliff Ruggles ideas and my rpm intake right is not port matched. So whats your thoughts and i try and read every reply. Thank You! P.s./ I might just remove the RPM and port match it being water crossover is removed and see what happens. 67 gto 373 gears headers rpm intake 400 turbo trans with Continental conver.JUST A WINTER PROJECT ON THE INTAKE!!

What heads are you running? Any porting?
Cliff did testing and found only upon porting his KRE D ports to a certain level did the RPM take over his modified stock intake. Otherwise below that level, the modified stock intake was better.

"SD Performance is great, they port matched and cleaned up my HSD intake !"

Very nice guy. I agree he has the capability to do good things with the HSD intake. Years ago he worked a Holley Street Dominator intake for me, port matched (2.300" tall port opening), runner blending and some plenium work. Dyno tested on a previous 462 it made only 11.5 less horsepower than a port matched Victor intake, and only 6.1 ft.lbs less torque (these were peak numbers). And also he re-worked another HSD intakes carb flange to accept a Dominator carb with similar port work, back-to-back track tested with a HP8896 Dominator carb it ran 10.74 at 126.03 mph vs 10.68 at 126.61 mph for a Victor intake using the same carb.

That all said, he did tell a friend recently he was way too busy to do similar work on his HSD intake. The situation should be differant on another type of intake especialy if a cnc program is involved.

Default SD Intake Porting

Love SD Performance. Dave hand ported my Edelbrock EFI manifold to match the flow of my SD ported E-heads. Makes a ton of power. Very good people.

Dave is the Man!! His combos rock! and He Cares and loves pontiacs! Next question are your heads ported? U really need to get back to the track and get some more baselines first before all this switching stuff around or u will never know what works and what doesn't!

Dave Bisschop and SD Performance are a first class act. You will not deal with a nicer or more knowledgeable guy in the Pontiac community. I wholeheartedly recommend SD. I run a set of his WP's, ported Victor, and custom spec cam. I gained better than a full second ET and 11+ MPH.
