Default 68 Lemans post pillar frame conversion

I have a 68 GTO that needs a shell. I located a 68 Lemans shell but it has a post frame meaning there is a post betweem the windows like the earlierer GTO/Leman's. I have not this shell up close but I do know that the 68 GTO did not have this as an option. I am curious if this could be converted to a non-post frame car wiohtout too much effort. Has anyone done this before?

Thanks,
Flint

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm going to pass on this as an option.
