Default CR Muscle Car Sweepstakes

Wanted any literature advertising the CR Muscle Car sweepstakes held in 1986. Contest was for a restored 65 GTO HT given away by CR Industries, Elgin ILL. My understanding that this contest was advertised in Motor Trend, Hot Rod magazine. etc. Also wall posters that were used in auto parts stores. Any material would be of interest. Thank you

Thank you for the reply. Yes I have owned the car since the late 90's. Bought it from the second owner since the giveaway. I have the small easel stand that displayed the pad of blank draw tickets and a CR Bearings interoffice/ distributor bulletin giving the details of the draw. Also was able to speak to the person at CR Bearings who was in charge of the promotion. Unfortunately the company had just cleaned up their storage room and all remaining materials pertaining to the draw were thrown out. I am looking for anything that pertains to the giveaway. What do you have and would you be interested in allowing me to make copies? Are you in Canada? I am located in Manitoba.

I'll try to find mine and get a pic. It's not of the GTO but all musclecars of the era.I might still have a magazine ad from the giveaway.

I have pictures of my car showing the trunk that was used as the 'draw drum' that contained over 250,000 entry ballots. I had hoped that more would respond to my post. Any ideas on where else I could post my request? Thanks

I will scan the photos and get these posted. Most likely won't happen till late next week, or beginning of the following. Having surgery done and not sure how mobile I will be. Did you have a chance to look through your magazines?
