69' Judge Rocker Extentions
I am doing off a frame off resto on my Judge and lower rear quarters were repaired but not sure if this car came with the chrome rocker extentions. I purchased new ones plus the clips which require holes for installation.
I also heard these rocker extentions were a dealer installed option back in 69'. I also read somewhere that GM stopped putting them on after Feb.69'. I would appreciate if someone can provide more details on this. I've seen some Judges with them on and some not. My car has a build date of (O1D) fourth week of January. Thanks for your help, S |

The reason you see some with and some without is that I believe your info is correct....Early '69s got them and at some point, they stopped. Not sure of the date but your Feb. quote sounds reasonable.
They'll know the exact date in the Judge forum and then you can compare with your build date.

Hi Greg, thanks for your help....this is good to know. I checked some other early Judges and noticed they had the extentions on there. Now comes the fun part of intalling them.
I will need to make new holes on the bottom of the quarter to put those clips in. I wish there was an easy way to do this. S |

I don't know how the repops are installed but the originals were swaged into a hole...I don't know how you could do this at home.
There is a user here who made a couple of stainless steel retainers for me. He designed them to be attached with a sheetmetal screw.
