Default Tons of Fun??

Looking at a bit of Pontiac history and came across some info and pictures on a 1972 Pontiac station wagon called "Tons of Fun" was owned by Gary Wood.. I saw this car run at Raceway Park back in the mid 70's.. There was two of these cars one driven by Gary and one by his wife.. Does anyone know what ever happens to these cars? I wonder if they are still around, in storage? or somewhere.. Sure was a fun car to watch the way it would leave and would twist so far the left wheel must have been 3 feet off the ground the passenger side would still be on the gound.. Looked like it was going to roll over..

I remember Jack Mullins with his SS/V 63 Catalina wagon.. It had a wierd combo of a low compression (8.5 to 1) 389 with a 4 speed.. It ran mid to low 12's.. Again I watched this car at WCS meets and national meets at Raceway Park in the mid 70's.. Jack would transport the car in a school bus that he converted to a car hauler...

I remember them now. Watched them race at National Trail Raceway back in the 70's at the NHRA Springnationals. I don't know ever happened to them, in fact I had forgotten all about them.

A few years ago HPP used to do a spread on Pontiacs in racing and in one of the issues "Ton's of Fun" was a feature article.

If I can find it, I will see what year and issue it was.

I can't find it right now as I have tons of HPP mags to go through. Here is an easier way. Click on the link below, will take you to HPP site, to the article on it. Month and year is not correct as posted at top of article because I looked at that mag and it is not in there.

What he said! LOL!

I just did the exact same thing...was going to post the link too. 65gto69 beat me to it.

It never ceases to amaze me how hard it can be sometimes to find articles in old mags, then other times...you luck out and find it in one or two picks.

Here are some pics from that link...so my last twenty minutes weren't a total waste. LOL!
