I don't have my GMC done yet, but I have test-run the engine (Tri-Power '58) with dual VOE mufflers and 2.5" pipes. The mufflers are a pair of Tom Hand's hand-built prototypes, from before the manufacturing of them was handed off to Waldron Exhaust. They sound fantastic! Fairly quiet closed and really "rumbly" open- but not harsh sounding. You might want to search the Exhaust Forums for Tom Hand's discussions of his development of them- I can't recall whether there are any sound clips. If you get to any Pontiac/GTO/Firebird events, you may see Joe (of Waldron) there with his VOE-GTO, and hear them in person.
