Default Hood Tach Harness mounting

Got a 69 GTO with Hood Tach. Does any one know how the cable supports to the
hood or body. I have trouble with the connector getting caught when I open the hood
sometimes and it tears one of the wires out.

Thanks

Ther should be a small hole near the left hood hindge if not you will have to drill one and the harness should have the cristmas tree type push in clip taped in the harness to go in the hole.
