Default 1970 GTO or Trans Am Ram Air III or IV 7040273 Carburator (100% Original)

Listing it for a special Christmas present:

I have an "ORIGINAL" not a restamp factory 1970 Trans Am and GTO Ram Air III or Ram Air IV Rochester Quadrajet 7040273 carburator.

It was removed this summer from a running, driving 1970 Trans Am and is not restored but functioned as designed. It is a 1 year only carb and is very, very difficult to locate. The numbers on the side of the carb is 7040273 WC (see photo). The Julian Date is 2399 (239th day of 1969 for 1970 production). The primary flaps have 36021 stamped on them and the secondary flaps have 33631 stamped on them. The base plate casting/stamp is 7037174, the back of the body has casting/stamp showing 7038024 (not visable in photos).

This rare carburator is correct for a 4 speed Trans Am Ram Air III and Ram Air IV and I believe the same for GTO (check application).

Check the photos and you will see this carb is original in every aspect.

If you're doing a numbers matching restoration this is a must have piece

If you have questions or need additional photos call (631) 484-6337.
