Could you help me out with any advice installing a vintage air system in my 69 gto ?

I know that thier are sure-fit kits for 67 gto's, or 68-72 chevelles

The 67 gto kit is different than a 69 gto

The 68-72 chevelle kit compressor mount is different than a pontiac 400.

could one of you offer advice and where to go to purchase a custom vintage air system for my 69 GTO

Sure, below is the link to a thread about an install I did on one of my 69 GTOs back in 2009. Used the 68-69 Chevelle kit with compressor mounting on the passenger side and 69 dash controls. Installed the kit over a weekend in June. Has worked flawlessly everyday since. The car is my regular driver, have two summers with ice cold air.

Purchased directly through Vintage Air. Arrived with great instructions and everything needed to install. Highly recommend Vintage Air products and service.

Classic Auto air has the same basic setup, but electric motors and some better quality components, in my opinion

Gen IV from Vintage Air is all electric motors, no cable controls.

I have also installed a Gen IV Vintage air unit in a 69 (previously a factory air) vert. Got a lot of useful info from HendoIv's post (Thanks!!). I had to fabricate a bracket for the condenser and the dash controls (both were very easy to do) and also had to change some under dash venting to use all of the existing factory vents and the GTO defrost. Found the stuff I needed at Menards for the dash venting. Haven't charged the system yet as I'm at the tail end of a frame-off, but i'm sure it will work fine. Good luck.
