Default Trans Shop in Southeast Michigan?

Anyone know of a good trans shop in the Detroit area or southeast Michigan that is good with automatics?

Pm smittyseng. He can get you fixed up on a HD automatic. I don't know how often he logs on here, so if you want his number PM me.

If you are ok with driving to Eaton Rapids, there's Jim Paquet Trans (aka JPT Trans).

He can do non-standard trick hi perf work, and has a dyno for testing before installation.

In SE Michigan, there are two that I've heard of:

Pointe Transmission, which has a lot of experience with vintage trans', a friend had his '61 Cad SuperHydro done there, was very happy...

Multi-State in Clawson with a caveat: They were as honest as Boy Scouts with me; helped me sort a shift issue with an old car for free -- would not take my money after solving the problem, and did it on a holiday weekend. Have not had any trans' built there, tho.

Interesting... I grew up in that town. Haven't been there in a few years.
