Good chrome shops are hard to find and my search continues.
Gary at quality plating is a nice guy, but he has screwed up everything i've taken to him!
1) bumpers - front ok, rear was not even my bumper. i had a nice straight original low milage bumper, that fit!... not any more. i received a bumper that was welded, straightened, and chrome flaking off. needless to say the packup lights didn't even fit, nor did it fit my car. talk about pissed.
2) rocker panels - buffed nice, however all the dings and bends (around the clips) still there. also they were warped, from heat, to the point they almost didn't clip back onto the car. again these were very nice original pieces to start with. that needed very little straightening. i spent about 2hrs on them with a plastic mallet and worked everything out myself.
3) rear taillight bezels - the straw that broke the camels back. they are imo ruined. i even brought up a pair of bezels that pauls chrome screwed up to show him what i didn't want done. this work makes what paul shop did look like gold. thank goodness we have those nice Chinese repros know, or i think i'd be in the crazy house.
Are there any good chrome shops near central ILLINOIS?
Also, any leads on a show quality rear bumper w/ backup lights?
