I am restoring a 68 Bird for my wife that we've owned for 15 years.
It is originally verdoro Green with white vinyl top and parchment interior Has anybody out there seen another Bird color combo like this? I recently sew a poorly repainted 68 GTO the same combo, but it doesn't help me visualize the end result on a Bird. Years ago I saw a 69 Bird at Englishtown similar (original paint, not so nice), but no vinyl top. Fairly common or odd? |

I had a twin to your car, Verdoro white vinyl top and parchment. 350 automatic from 1985 to around 1992. I thought it looked nice, better than all Verdoro. THere was also a second car in my area (CT) around mid 1990's.

If you were a good looking woman living in MD at the time with the license plate that read 2 nasty (even though the car wasn't, so I have to wonder about the owner?)
I would know that you were the one we bought the car from. So there were 2 in CT? So much for the one and only! |

There is a guy here in town who has a 68 that is Verdoro green with parchment deluxe interior and white vinyl top. Simply awesome. He has rally IIs as well. Frank.

Here are a few. The last one is a convertible but you can clearly see the parchment interior:

The first car listed I owned about 5 years ago. It was about 75% done and I finished it. It was a 400 #'s car that had a ton of factory options added; PW, Hood tach, Speed minder etc. Probably one of the nicest cars I've ever owned and it would draw a crowd at shows. ![]() I have more pics if anyone is interested in them... Hey Mike, that car looks incredible. Do you remember what size wheels and tires on that picture ? Frank.

Tires were F70-14's. Rally II's were date code correct for the car and even had the original GM trim rings that didn't have any dings in them (original deluxe hubcap car). Here's a pic with the hubcaps (which I still have):

That is a great color combo especially when fresh and shiny.

I think I remember this car being on eBay 5 or 6 years ago - a body shop was selling it in an almost complete state? Perhaps that's where you acquired it.
It made an impression on me because it was a striking color combo...

Here's some pix of one of the Ct. cars. Originally from Cal. I bought and sold it locally about 5 yrs. ago. Very pretty car always thought it would look better without the redlines.

I swear 9 out of 10 Firebird were painted Verado green. I had four 69's, all originally verado green, but all had different interiors. Also looked at buying 3 more Firebirds locally and they were verado as well

I wouldn't mind being on the waiting list on that one.
