been reading up on some older threads covering this, but wanted to see if there's anything new to share since there seems to be more folks doing restos and refreshes.

What is the current pulse here as far as suppleness from manufacturer to manufacturer?

A&M used to be known as one of the more denser ones, some years ago steele was reported as being softer. yet recently some say metro is with its "supersoft" line, while others lately have said A&M.

So, I'm clearly confused.

What about specific things, "factory like" things, in which the OE weatherstrip had say a metal reinforcement? for example, the A pillar strip in my 69 vert had this zig-zagging wire running it's length and some perforated metal "plate" at the top in which a screw went through it?

i need pretty much everything - convt top strips, doors, 1/4 window vertical, and outer glass fuzzies. I have some old A&M trunk and hood to cowl seals already.
