Engine Builder(s) in SoCal
Hi, I need to get my 389 rebuild. I just pulled the heads off and it needs to be bored, etc.
And now that the engine is out, I'd like to get it done right... and I will also put a 200 R4 transmission in there, while I am at it... So far, I found these two Pontiac Engine builders in SoCal (close enough to San Diego): http://www.pacificperformanceracing.com/ and http://pontiacpower.com/ Any experience with one or both of them? In my personal opinion I would have Ken (Ace) Brewer build it. Ken is a member of these forums and will personally answer all questions you may have about your build.

Another vote for PPR in San Pedro. I've had no dealings with the other shop. I suggest you do a search on this forum or the Internet.
