Default 69 Project

There is a new project car in my shop. Let me give some background.
Its a 69 LeMans.
This car belongs to a young man in the Army that served with my oldest son in Iraq.
He re-enlisted and is currently serving another tour in Iraq. My son is out and home.
My son has brought this car home and our goal is to freshen it up, work the bugs out, and have it up and running by the time Kendall gets home.
Kendall just bought the car before he went back to Iraq. A lot of stuff has been hacked over the years...alot...
So the plan is new wiring harness, convert to 4-speed, add power disc brakes, 4 barrel, headers, duel exhaust, weatherstripping, enduro bumper, GTO hood, possibly a rear spoiler.
The car has a great body...so the body and paint shouldn't be to bad...

So far we've pulled the front clip, have motor and tranny out and are getting ready to start on the suspension.

I need to locate some disc brake spindles..bellhousing, pedals, zbar and linkage...gonna put my spare muncie in it for now..he wants to go Tremec at some point..I have a RPM Intake for it..and I have a Holley that might be rebuildable.
So thats the scoop..

So he arranged for you to do the restoration before he went back, or is this going to be a suprise to him and his wallet?
It's a pretty solid looking car.

He knows we have it. His money..I just won't charge llike I would for anyone else. He's defending my freedom, a few unbilled hours ain't gonna hurt me.
of course what I want to do to the car and what he wants are two different things..LOL
Guess its the age thing. But its his, so I'll do it his way..to a point...I will refuse to hang any giant wheels..etc....
I have a idea of what end result will be..
