Hurst rebuild?
Anyone know if Hurst still rebuilds shifter assemblies that people send in?

I think they might contract out that service. I cannot recall which of the parts catologs promote rebuilding services but at least one does.

Yes, they rebuild them and when done they look awesome. I had my original Hurst shifter rebuilt for my 74 Formula. All total the cost was about $260 plus shipping. They blast it completely and repair or replace what they can. It is powder coated and regreased. The shifter arm is $75 bucks to rechrome and I think adding a stop is extra as well. Took about 2 months though. My arm was nice so I left it go. When it is done they vacuum pack it onto cardboard and mail it back. Hope this helped.

Pete Serio all the way with this task, outstanding quality. Pete takes great pride in all his work and I highly reccomend him as well. It will be factory perfect once completed.

I dont believe Hurst (Mr Gasket) powder coats anything. Last I knew they zinc plated all the parts. The original finish was cadium plate. You can still get cad plating done it just costs about 3 times what zinc costs and looks the same just wont last as long. Minium charge around here for cad is about $120 but you can get a lot of stuff done for that. I usually get 4 or 5 shifters at once done and it keeps the cost resonable. Very easy to rebuild one.
