Default BOSTON BRUINS!

They did it! I grew up in Wilmington Mass. just north of Boston where the Bruins practice. We would be ready to go on the ice for a game and the Bruins would talk with us. Bobby Orr. Gerry cheevers. Dereck Sanderson and all the big bad bruins. They were my life. I played goal for Wilmington High through high school. Always proud to be from there! After almost 40 years, they did it again. Words can't describe what I'm feeling. Time to get in my Grand Prix and go cruisin! GO BRUINS!

They had one hell of a run. Congrats Bruins. They deserved it. Thomas was the difference this year for them. Definite MVP.

They seemed to get fired up when Horton got hurt. All three series went 7 games. Heck of a run.

They played 4, 3 went 7. This series, in reality, wasn't as close as the # of games would indicate.

The 3 games Vancouver won could have gone either way.

The 4 games Boston won were blowouts.

Hard to believe people are so low I.Q. they riot when thier team wins or loses.
They need a real life.

What do you expect from a fan base that includes grown men in green spandex standing on their heads in their seats during a game?
Par for the course for Vancouver fans. They're more classless than Philly fans and that's saying something.......at least Philly fans didn't trash their own city after losing to Chicago last year.

Wow, this is really frightening. And to think Michael Moore said Canada was so peaceful, no murders, no crime, people leave their doors unlocked at night. I know, he'll probably blame America.

Hey, I think one of these guys is Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo!

It's been a long time coming. I have been a Bruins fan from the time my cousin got me interested in watching games on TV38 back in the early eighties.
It's sad that their great announcer Fred Cusik didn't live to see this. His voice will always echo in my mind.

Yes it was a sad day in Vancouver and surrounding area yesterday. We were not happy with the outcome of the game or the fact that the refs were total idiots. May of had not effect on the game but still looked totally stupid. The canucks did nothing to overcome timmy the Giant. Congradulations to the Bruins and their fans. Although the pictures may look like a lot of fans started this riot, pictures are deceiving, it appears that the riot would have happened either way, people were it the area with gas bombs, that had no idea of the outcome, so riot was planned before the game outcome. Looks real bad for the Olympic city to have this, but was NOT Canuck Fans that started it, although some are pictured in bad acts. Oh ya we still have vandalism up here and stupid drug stuff, we are not saints. But we still like Pontiacs as well.

Wow that brings back memories. I recall watching with my dad on an old tv....in fact one of my best memories is 1983(when my parents took me and my brother to our first game-still my only Bruins Game) when Brad Park scored in OT against the Sabers. Good times.

I didn't really care who one. It would have been nice that Vancouver won it being Canadian and all but it's also nice that Boston got it being one of the original teams....

Speaking of Canadians and Boston, what's with all the Canadians on that team? More than half of the whole team is from Canada with the remainder being from Europe and some from the US. Is this typical for the NHL teams these days or is it a fluke that the Bruins are mostly Canadians? And because of that this summer the cup will be mostly in Canada and then Europe and the US. So did Boston really win or did Canada win?

The club won the cup, the players are from all over the globe. I think MOST NHL teams are made up mainly of Canadian born players.

HUGE Bruins fan here. First pair of skates as a kid, Bobby Orr's, no ankle support of course. I thank my 9 year old daughter for the cup. She watched the games with me, she's hooked. She had an uncanny knack for asking for a goal and receiving it all season. We called her our Bruin good luck charm. Anyone from the Northeast remember Ridge Arena? Watched a ton of hockey there with my father in the 60's.

Tim Thomas was outstanding for sure. All season. The one guy that's needs to get special attention for all he's accomplished is Brad Marchand. I kept telling my son all season that he reminded me so much of Kenny Linesman.

Anyway, Marchand wrapped up playoff totals of 11 goals and 8 assists. A new Boston Bruin rookie record!

What a great team this year. Hopefully they can repeat. I see no reason they can't if they stay healthy. I also wish Recchi would reconsider retirement. Nothing bugs me more than a team that has won it all and then they either split up or people retire. I'd like to see him say, Hey, I think we can do this again.

Ya I know, just funnin with ya all!

I'm not a super big hockey fan(spend most of my winter time working on my cars) but I try to watch the Flames games and always the playoffs so I was a little surprised when you said MOST NHL teams are made up of Canadians so I checked the Bruins roster for one and it shows 17 Canadian, 6 European(unless you count Chara as two!), 3 American so there ya go. I had no idea it was that lop sided...

Anyways it doesn't look good for Vancouver when they loose and then complain about the refs all the time. They made a lot of cheap and intentional shots on Boston and also got away with lots too...like the elbow to the head Chara took with no penalty....
